S1E3 - Hanns Scharff: The Nice Nazi Interrogator
Cody and Audrey take you back to the most famous war in history, World War 2. But I bet what you didn't know about World War 2 is that not all of the Germans were evil Nazi's. This is the story of Hanns Scharff, an ordinary man who found himself in an extraordinary position.

Yes, you read the episode title right… a “nice” Nazi… We know the Nazi’s were inhumane and brutal during World War 2 and the Holocaust. The concentration camps, mass killings and death marches of over 6 million Jews and political enemies can’t deny that fact. But there was one Luftwaffe interrogator who used kindness in his tactics to get information out of people. Hanns Scharff has been studied by modern day interrogators and their research of him and other interrogation techniques revealed that it is best to be genuinely kind to no matter who you are trying to get information out of.
